FAQs

Animal Rights is NOT an animal shelter nor can we give legal advice. We are not animal control nor do  we have the authority to enforce animal protection laws. We investigate the institutionalized forms of cruelty  such as  livestock agriculture, vivisection, the fur and leather industry, animals abused in entertainment. Our advocacy includes education, legislation and litigation.

We urge everyone to microchip your companion animals. If your pet goes missing, contact the Hawaiian Humane Society and visit the shelter daily. Ask to see ALL the animals, even the ones who are not in the cattery or kennels

Puppy farm investigation sparks animal debate

Exclusive undercover video shows disturbing images of sick and dead animals at a facility two animal groups call a huge puppy farm right here on Oahu.

Oahu SPCA needs volunteers!

The OahuSPCA is in the process of rescuing 50 or more animals from the beaches of the west shore.

We need help this evening at the shelter with intake and tomorrow beginning at 7:00 am to deal with the influx. We also desperately need people to foster some of the animals to help us deal with this large rescue. Among the rescues are mothers and puppies who need to be in foster homes so if you can help please call 754-1510.

Warmest regards and Mahalo,

All of us from the Oahu SPCA www.oahuspca.org
Please remember we have a new phone number (808) 754-1519
